Our Story
Mathilde's Kitchen was born from a simple conviction: that the flavors of Haiti deserve a place at the table in every neighborhood. What started as weekend gatherings with family recipes passed down from Port-au-Prince has grown into a beloved Southeast Portland destination.
Every dish begins with ingredients chosen with care — tender marinated chicken for our griot, fragrant rice and beans for diri kole, and dough folded by hand for our golden patés. We don't rush what tradition has perfected.
Whether you're craving the comfort of a Sunday lunch or discovering Haitian food for the first time, there's a seat for you here.
